IPOH: Road closures and diversions will be implemented on 31 August (Thursday) at the Perak Stadium, here to make way for the 66th National Day parade at the state level.
In addition, according to Ipoh District Police Chief, ACP Yahaya Hassan, road closures and diversions will also be done in stages according to the current needs to make room for the rehearsal session that will take place on 27 and 29 August.
“The Ipoh Police will implement road closures and diversions next Thursday starting at 6.30 a.m. until the end of the event.
“In addition, the roads involved in the gradual closure and diversion are Jalan Ghazali Jawi, Jalan Kamarudin Isa, Jalan Ashman Shah, Lebuh Cecil Rae, Jalan Stadium Perak, Jalan Kompleks Sukan, Jalan Dato’ Lau Pak Khuan and Jalan Canning Estate,” he told reporters on Saturday.
In this regard, he said, road users, especially Ipoh residents, are advised to plan their journeys and choose alternative routes to avoid being caught in traffic jams during the diversion.
