TAPAH: A 57-year-old man was arrested for allegedly molesting a man who was a food delivery worker last Thursday.
Tapah District Police Chief Superintendent Mohd Naim Asnawi said the 34-year-old victim claimed that the suspect grabbed hi crotch and kissed his cheek while delivering food orders at a house in Sungkai.
“On August 24 at around 9.30pm, the Tapah District Police received a police report from a 34-year-old man who worked as a food delivery man.
“The victim stated that while delivering a food order at a house in the Sungkai area, Tapah, the victim was molested by a 57-year-old man who grabbed the victim’s private parts and kissed his cheek.
“An investigation was carried out and the arrest of the suspect was made on the same day at approximately 10.30pm,” he said in a statement.
He said the suspect was released with police bail yesterday (August 25).
Accordingly, he said, the case was investigated according to Section 354 of the Penal Code which can be punished with a maximum of 10 years in prison, or a fine, or whipping, or any two of these punishments.
