RAHMAH Sales Program Benefits the People of Perak

By: Zaki Salleh

Gopeng – A total of 129 RAHMAH Sales Programs (PJR) have been conducted in all 24 Parliamentary constituencies and 59 State Assembly constituencies throughout the state of Perak.

These sales initiatives have benefited over 160,000 citizens, with sales totalling more than RM 3 million.

Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Fuziah Salleh, stated that to date, PJR has been organized at 1,748 locations nationwide since its introduction in January.

She mentioned that there are three PJR models: sales within premises, outside premises, and mobile stores.

“Discounts ranging from 15 to 30 per cent less than local market prices are offered for 13 types of essential dry goods, vegetables, and fruits.

“PJR has proven to have a positive impact on efforts to ease the cost of living for citizens, including areas without supermarkets or large retailers,” she said.

She made these remarks while inaugurating the Mobile RAHMAH Sales Program (PJRB) here and launching the Complaints from Adun Suri program.

Today, two lorries with capacities of five and 10 tons were used to launch the PJRB in selected areas throughout the state of Perak.

Meanwhile, the primary focus of Adun Suri’s Complaints program is on homemakers who frequently deal with daily essential purchases and often face issues such as price hikes and supply shortages.

The approach of this program is in line with the ministry’s desire to empower household communities to serve as benchmarks, sources of information, and strategic partners for the Ministry in providing field information.
