PANGKOR – A total of 100 students received free haircuts at the Back-to-School Haircut Program held at the Arena Sungai Pinang Besar Community Hall.

In addition to students, parents also took the opportunity to avail themselves of this free haircut service.

The program was made possible through the collaboration of several local barbershops, including Arfan Danish Barbershop, Kaki Lepak Barbershop, Triple Z Barbershop, and GRS Barbershop.

Mk Vape Shop, Sham DJ, and the Pangkor State Service Center also joined hands to support the initiative.

Pangkor State Assemblywoman, Norhaslinda Zakaria, expressed her satisfaction with the program, which ran from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., stating that it had received a warm response.

“The effort to organize this program is commendable as it seeks to alleviate the financial burden on parents during the school reopening season,” she remarked.

“Usually, the cost of children’s haircuts at local salons ranges from RM7 to RM10, but they are being provided this service for free through this program,” she added.

This initiative not only lightens the financial load on families but also strengthens community cooperation, fostering a sense of mutual support among residents.
