TANJUNG MALIM: One man died and two others were injured after the four-wheel drive vehicle (4×4) they were riding in crashed into the back of a lorry parked on the shoulder of the road near the Behrang stop early this morning.
Assistant Director of the Operations Division of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the victim, who was the 4×4 driver, died at the scene of the incident.
He also said that he received a call regarding the incident at 4.06am, before members of the Tanjung Malim Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the location.
“An accident involving an Isuzu Dmax 4×4 vehicle hit the back of a lorry carrying a load of motorcycles parked on the side of the road.
“It was found that there were three male victims from the 4×4 trapped and one of them, the driver, was confirmed dead at the scene by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM).
“The firemen removed the trapped victims using special tools
” The truck driver is safe and uninjured,” he said in a statement today.”
He said the deceased was handed over to the police while the other two injured were sent to the hospital by a fire vehicle and an ambulance from the Ministry of Health.
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Jasmi Abdul Kamal ended at 5.53 am.
