Boy who had his wish come true has died

IPOH: A boy with leukaemia, Muhamad Wirdas Hafiy Zharin Ain, 10, who wanted to experience being a police officer last June has died.

The patient who was suffering from blood cancer died on Thursday night at Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun here.

The eldest of the four siblings was hospitalised since August 15 because of diarrhoea.

Muhamad Wirdas Hafiy has been suffering from stage three leukaemia since a year ago.

Muhammad Wirdas Hafiy’s story was previously published in Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic because his wish to become a police officer was achieved last June at Batu Gajah District Police Headquarters (IPD).

He also had time to ride in a police patrol car and patrol around the school.

The boy’s wish was achieved through the cooperation of a non-governmental organisation, Make-A-Wish Malaysia whose objective is to fulfil the dreams of selected children.
