Perak Hobby Scene Adding Colour to Mid-Autumn Festivities

Perak’s hobbyist scene, especially the cosplay scene, has been on a roll with events being held more and more often. Perakian cosplayers don’t have to travel all the way to Kuala Lumpur these days to get their fix.

For those in Seri Manjung, in addition to the usual Mid-Autumn festivities this coming weekend, they can visit Aeon Mall Seri Manjung for the Wakunime Dreamplay Party event. Entry is free and will involve many activities. In addition to the cosplay Dressup Competition, there will be DJ performances by MC Leo, Hot Wheels Racing Jump Contest and an Arcade Game Contest.

For those looking to score some rare collectibles at a steal, there will also be a Car Boot Sale. On top of that, this Wakunime event will also have official participation by Mattel.

Those looking for bolder experience can participate in the Hot Samyang Contest or the Wasabi No Sushi Contest.

Not to be outdone, those in Ipoh also have an avenue to scratch that cosplay itch this Sunday, on September 17, in the Mooncake Festival at KMC Mall.

In addition to cosplay events throughout the day, there will be a Kids & Parents Mooncake Making Activity with a RM20 pre-purchased mooncake voucher, which includes complimentary goodies and food.
