GOPENG: More than 2,000 visitors are expected to attend the Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics Carnival (STEM) Gopeng 2.0 which will take place at the Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) Gopeng this Saturday.
The program is being held for the first time and will provide a variety of interesting events such as Astronaut and Rocket on two floors, a petting zoo, robotics exhibition and Google games.
Starting at 9 am to 4.30 pm the carnival is also packed with several programs including the ‘Mini Planetarium’ program, where activities will be carried out with a 180 degree video projection in a closed dome, a drone handling workshop, a STEM forum, a presentation of the results of a STEM level schools competition and interactive exhibits.
More interestingly, this year’s STEM Carnival witnessed close collaboration from 28 government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), schools and start-up companies in the STEM field.
The program will be inaugurated by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Chang Lih Kang.
