IPOH: A 40-year-old man has tragically passed away after falling from the 13th floor of a hotel on Jalan Sultan Idris Shah near here today.
According to Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, Deputy Director of Operations for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), they received a call about the incident at 9:29 AM.
“Members from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene, and information from the operations chief indicated that the victim fell from the 13th floor.
“However, the 40-year-old victim got stuck on the 6th floor and was confirmed dead at the scene by personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH),” he said in a statement.
He added that the firefighters subsequently brought the victim down from the 6th floor of the building.
Following this, the victim was handed over to the police for further action.
The operation, led by Senior Fire Officer II, R. Mathavan, concluded at 11:21 AM.
