PARIT BUNTAR: Members of the public successfully rescued a man in his 30s believed to have jumped from the Pekan Kuala Kurau Bridge, near here today.
Assistant Director of Operations of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said they received a call regarding the incident at 3:31 pm on today.
He further stated that personnel from the Kuala Kurau Fire and Rescue Station were rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the firefighters found a man in his 30s who had jumped from the bridge.
“The victim was successfully rescued by members of the public in the area and is now in a safe condition,” he said in a statement.
Sabarodzi said the operation commander then directed the personnel to monitor the situation, and the victim was handed over to the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) officials for further action,” he said.
