IPOH – Perak Agrofest 2023, which took place over three days at the Infoternak Farm in Sungai Siput, successfully recorded sales of RM1.5 million for various agricultural and food products.
The event involved the participation of 150 entrepreneurs from various sectors, including food, agricultural inputs, and agro-farming entrepreneurs.
Perak Agrofest 2023 also attracted over 100,000 visitors, exceeding the original expectation of 60,000.
With the theme “Sustainable Prosperity for Perak Agriculture,” Perak Agrofest 2023 is a continuation of the state government’s efforts to strengthen food security.
Perak Agrofest is a rebranding of the State-level Farmers, Breeders, and Fishermen Day Celebration (HPPN).
Through this program, a strategic platform has been created for farmers, breeders, and fishermen to obtain the latest information and exposure in their respective fields.
The last HPPN event was held in 2013.
Earlier, the Chief Minister of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, officiated the closing ceremony of Perak Agrofest 2023 at the Infoternak Farm in Sungai Siput.
He also launched the latest products of Perak food entrepreneurs, including Wagyu Apam Balik from Apam Balik Kuhoot, frozen roti canai and frozen poppiah (Iddas Frozen), and smoked meat in creamy sauce (Sudip Kuali Ent).
