TANJUNG MALIM – The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim, graced a royal ceremony to inaugurate the Proton City Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) in this location.
Also in attendance were the Raja Dihilir of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah.
The inauguration was marked by His Majesty’s official proclamation and the signing of a commemorative plaque.
Following the inauguration event, Sultan Nazrin and Tuanku Zara Salim spent time visiting an exhibition organized by the students and taking photographs with the school’s administrative staff and teachers before departing.
SMK Proton City, situated approximately nine kilometres from the town of Tanjung Malim, was built on 9,349-hectare land for RM29.9 million.
The construction of the school was initiated in July 2015 and was completed two years later, accommodating a total of 675 students, 61 teachers, and seven support staff.
