IPOH: A total of 30 participants (consisting of both men and women) of the reflexology and massage course, Empowerment of Asnaf Economic Program (PROPER A) 2023, have received a business equipment set.
PROPER A is an initiative by the Islamic Religious Council and Malay Customs of Perak (MAIPk) to help target groups create economic opportunities.
The reflexology and massage courses for PROPER A 2023 are conducted by Humaira Training Centre, Ipoh, starting in July 2023 for a duration of 6 months.
The program includes phased courses, equipment provision, followed by a 4-month monitoring process by the training provider company.
Each participant is allocated nearly RM10,000 in the form of course sponsorship and equipment, in addition to receiving a monthly allowance throughout the training period.
This serves as an incentive for participants to give their best commitment during the planned program.
A total of RM288,540 in zakat funds has been allocated for this course.
Previously, the presentation of the business equipment set was officiated by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Development) of MAIPk, Wan Maizura Wan Zahar.
Representatives from agencies such as MARA Perak State, Perak State Women’s Development Secretariat, Perak State Entrepreneurs Secretariat (STeP), and Bt Gajah Community College were also in attendance.
