Teluk Intan – In the golden years of life, maintaining good health and adhering to a regular exercise routine is crucial for preserving physical well-being and fitness.
One such light exercise that can be embraced by individuals of all backgrounds is Tai Chi, which is typically popular among the Chinese community.
Tai Chi, a localized form of exercise, can be practised by anyone as it requires no special equipment. Also known as “meditation in motion,” Tai Chi is a form of exercise that has been adopted as a recreational activity.
The dedication to practising Tai Chi was evident among 35 participants during a program held at the Speedy Road Public Field.
This program, organized for the first time by the Youth and Sports Office in collaboration with the Tai Chi Exercise Association of Lower Perak District, aims to promote this exercise among the community.
It is also part of the larger initiative to promote women’s fitness and health among senior citizens. Moreover, this activity encourages the adoption of a culture of exercise and the practice of a healthy lifestyle, regardless of age or background.
