TAIPING – Four selected locations, including the Bee Poh building, the Kwangtung Association building, Berek Street, and Taiping Zoo, will be embellished with mural paintings to mark the 150th anniversary of Taiping City in 2024.
Kase Ibus, the Secretary of the Malaysian Retired Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVTTBM) in Perak, announced that all these mural paintings are sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, in collaboration with the Hasanah Foundation, and with the assistance of Graffite Management Company.
He elaborated, that each mural painting will be enhanced with cutting-edge technology, namely Augmented Reality (AR), which integrates interactive digital elements such as images, sounds, animations, 3D models, and other interactive features into the real world.
“The use and integration of AR-Mural technology are expected to provide a unique and special touch to these artworks,” he stated during his address at the inauguration of the Taiping City Historical Heritage Trail and Taiping Heritage Trail, officiated by the Hasanah Foundation Advisor, Tan Sri Norliza Rofli, recently.
Kase Ibus also highlighted that all mural paintings are created by local artists with over a decade of experience in mural painting both domestically and internationally.
