IPOH: A total of 3,256 banners and posters of ‘Ah Long’ (unlicensed moneylenders) were successfully taken down through Op Vulture recently.
The operation, conducted in collaboration between the Commercial Crime Investigation Division and the Ipoh District Police Headquarters under the administration of IPD Ipoh, with the cooperation of Ipoh City Council (MBI), targeted the Ipoh town area.
All banners and posters have been handed over to MBI for disposal.
The ongoing crackdown on unlicensed moneylending advertisements aims to prevent the public from being influenced and falling victim to Ah Long syndicates.
