IPOH – In conjunction with its 131st anniversary, Ayam Brand stepped forward to support 97 children through the #AyamBersamaMu Community Care Campaign at KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital.

The Brand Manager of A. Clouet (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Mark Yong, stated that imbalanced nutritional intake contributes to stunted growth among children.

Aligned with Ayam Brand’s corporate social responsibility theme, ‘Tambah Sihat Bersama Ayam Brand,’ He emphasized that the program provides a solution to the nutritional challenges often faced by children.

“Through collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia (JKM), a total of 25 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) across seven states in Malaysia have been identified as needing assistance and contributions.

“Each welfare home received nutritious food donations from Ayam Brand, such as tuna products, baked beans in tomato sauce, and soya flakes spread, sufficient for two months. It is estimated that around 1,000 children will benefit from this program,” he said during his speech at the #AyamBersamaMu Community Care Campaign at KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital recently.

The celebrated children included those from various welfare homes such as Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Yatim Rumah Visi, Pusat Jagaan Anak Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Nurul Iman, The Salvation Army Ipoh Children’s Home, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Pelangi Perak (Rainbow Children’s Home), and Pusat Jagaan Praise.

In its 16th year, the program marked the first collaboration with KPJ Specialist Hospital, Ipoh. The nutrition workshop activities were led by KPJ Nutrition Specialist, Nur Arafah Abdul Wahab.

The workshop focused on the Malaysian Healthy Plate 3S (Suku-suku Separuh) concept, aiming to educate children on healthier and balanced dietary choices.

Meanwhile, Focus Point Group also collaborated to provide free eye health screenings and prescription glasses.

Present at the event was the Chief Executive Officer of KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital, Badrul Hisyam Ibrahim.
