IPOH: A 33-year-old man was injured in the hand after getting trapped in a chicken processing machine at Pasar Jelapang Kampung Baru here today.
Assistant Director of Operations for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said they received a call regarding the incident at 11:31 a.m.
“Upon arrival, the team along with members at the scene found a man whose hand was trapped in the machine.
“The operation chief directed the team to use specialized equipment, including a power saw and hydraulic cutter, to free the victim’s trapped hand,” he said here today.
He mentioned that after successfully removing the victim’s hand, the victim was handed over to the medical officer of the Malaysian Ministry of Health for further treatment.
Subsequently, the victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital.
