Batu Gajah – The Dinosaur Encounter, the first educational entertainment dinosaur park in Perak and the sixth in Malaysia, is set to commence operations on December 22 at Silverlakes Village Outlet (SVO).
Loh Sze Yee, Chairman of the Tourism, Industry, Investment, and Corridor Development Committee for the state, stated that Dinosaur Encounter combines prehistoric science with cutting-edge technology such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
“The Dinosaur Encounter introduces a new concept, a combination of indoor and outdoor amusement parks implemented in phases.
“The second phase of the Dinosaur Encounter launch at SVO will witness the ‘Immersive Adventure Ride,’ a state-of-the-art five-dimensional ride designed specifically for enthusiasts of interactive and immersive activities.
“As part of Visit Perak 2024, Dinosaur Encounter is expected to attract numerous domestic tourists, in addition to shopping at SVO,” he said during a press conference at the inauguration of the Dinosaur Theme Park at Silverlakes Village Outlet today.
He further emphasized that the development of Dinosaur Encounter is innovative, showcasing a real exploration of the dinosaur world.
“It is one of the best local brands in Malaysia, alongside Terengganu, the National Science Centre, Melaka Zoo, Pahang Teruntum Zoo, and Wetland Studios Putrajaya,” he said.
Meanwhile, Shaik Rizal Sulaiman, CEO of Silverland, mentioned that the opening of Silverlakes Village Outlet (SVO) on December 15 will further enliven Visit Perak 2024.
“SVO not only brings international brands to Batu Gajah, but also several restaurant franchises will operate here.
“SVO is divided into two sections, namely West Village and North Village. The North Village, the main section, will open gradually, starting with 10 to 20 shops before fully opening.
“At least 100 well-known brands will establish a presence here. Currently, 60 percent of the retailers have agreed to commence business here,” he added.
