IPOH: The Single Mothers’ Organization, Permata Perak, in collaboration with the Polytechnic Ungku Omar (PUO) Women’s Association, has taken the initiative to organize an Entrepreneurship Course at the central campus.
This effort is made possible through the cooperation of the Perak State Women’s Development Department.
Aligned with the goal of developing the potential and empowering women to become agents of societal change and contributors to the country’s economic and social development, the program attracted 80 female participants, including single mothers and members of the PUO Women’s Association.
The course is divided into two sessions: “Discover Your Potential,” to provide basic entrepreneurship training and boost the participants’ confidence, especially single mothers.
The second session focuses on “Advocacy Against Sexual Harassment,” delivered by an officer from the Perak State Women’s Development Department, Amir Mursyid Mohd Bakri.
This initiative aims to assist women in staying informed about self-awareness and the laws related to sexual harassment.
