School holiday: 18 children showcase their talents in a Cosplay competition

IPOH: The atmosphere in Lorong Seni@Lorong Panglima here was lively with the presence of 18 participating children under 12 years of age, joining the Cosplay competition yesterday.

The event was organised by the Ipoh City Council (MBI) with the initiative from the MBI Community Service Department.

It coincides with the school holiday season lasting for more than two weeks, ending in January next year.

According to the Chairman of the MBI Tourism Committee, Datuk Ahmad Hariri Kamarudin, hosting such programs can further liven up the Christmas celebration.

In addition to being part of the Ipoh Visit Year 2023 festivities, it also contributes to the celebration of Visit Perak Year 2024.

During the competition, participants were required to perform a two-minute skit with their chosen background music.

Winners of the competition receive cash prizes and certificates of appreciation.

Also present at the event were the Senior Director of MBI Services, Zulkifle Jaafar Sidek, and the City Community Director, Normala Latiff.
