IPOH: A total of 1,310 Ramadan bazaar stalls sites will be opened at 19 locations in this city in mid-March next year.
The Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin, stated that stall associations, traders’ cooperatives, resident committees or interested parties can submit and obtain application forms on the 5th floor of the MBI Health Department.
He further mentioned that applications can be submitted from December 26th to January 10th, 2024.
“Like in previous years, the Ipoh City Council will organize the 2024M / 1445H Ramadan Bazaar, expected to start in mid-March 2024.
“A total of 19 locations will be opened with an estimated 1,310 stalls.
“The list of locations can be referred to through advertisements for the organization of the 2024 Ramadan Bazaar, which will be issued starting from December 26,” he said here today.
He added that if there are multiple applications for a location, MBI will select successful applications based on assessment criteria and the selection of Ramadan bazaar organizers approved at the 2022 General Meeting.
He said that MBI also encourages the organizers of the 2024 Ramadan bazaar to open other locations not stated, provided that the application conditions are met and approved by MBI.
“It is hoped that the organization of the 2024 Ramadan bazaar will run smoothly, while providing opportunities for traders and small hawkers in the MBI area,” he said.
