IPOH: The allocation of quotas and special incentives for the youth to purchase homes through the Rumah Perakku scheme is proposed to the state government to enable this group to own residences.

Rumah Perakku is an initiative by the Perak state government to assist its citizens in purchasing their first homes at affordable prices.

Syed Alif Rikiman Syed Alwi, a member of the Perak State Youth Council, said that this matter was among those proposed during the recent Perak State Youth Council meeting.

According to him, the proposal was brought under the Housing and Local Government Committee to enhance home ownership among the youth in Perak.

“This committee believes that this proposal can act as a catalyst for the Pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030 based on the state’s economic and people’s well-being.

“Both segments are closely related to ensuring that Perak continues to develop rapidly in line with its second flagship program, the Perumahan Sejahtera,” he said when contacted.

Syed Alif emphasized that this proposal is a long-term plan in an effort to envision the future of Perak state at a level of prosperity and comfort for its youth.

“It is grounded in four strategies, including the youth housing policy based on financial literacy for housing savings as early as the age of 13.

“In addition, targeted moratorium implementation, a special 10% subsidy, and a 30% quota for youth and 70% for the community in the state government agency’s housing projects,” he added.
