IPOH – Just a day after news about the foul-smelling drain in front of Yik Foong Complex was reported on the Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic portal, swift cleaning efforts have been undertaken.
The cleanup was carried out by Puncak Emas Infra, a company appointed by the Perak State Government as a concessionaire, upon receiving information from the Ipoh City Council (MBI).
In addition to clearing the sand and vegetation-clogged drain, thorough removal of debris and rubbish was also conducted.
The news, which was also shared on the social media pages of Peraktastic and Ipoh Echo, received significant criticism from netizens who advocate for a clean and beautiful urban environment.
Among the comments, some expressed that the foul smell from the drainage in front of Yik Foong Complex had persisted for a long time without any action taken by the authorities to address the issue.
However, appreciation was extended for the prompt action taken by MBI.
