IPOH: The signing ceremony of the Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP) collaboration agreement took place at the Casuarina Meru Convention Center here today.
The signing of the agreement was formalized through the exchange of documents between the Chief Executive Officer of the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNP) together with the Chief Executive Officers of Perak Corporation Berhad and Advancecon.
Chairman of the Communication, Multimedia, and NGO Committee Perak, Mohd Azlan Helmi said that the SVTP which is a high-impact project aimed at mineral processing, is expected to attract direct foreign and domestic investments worth RM14 billion.
“Located on a land area of 330.2 hectares, the SVT, expected to be fully completed within the next five to ten years will provide 13,000 new job opportunities for the people of Perak state.
“I hope the efforts implemented will bring a new dimension and impact to the state of Perak, positioning it as a major industrial powerhouse in the country,” he said in a statement on his Facebook here today.
Also present at the event was the Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
