IPOH – Yesterday’s heavy rainfall, lasting nearly three hours, led to flash floods in Taman Fair Park and the surrounding Kepayang area, resulting in various damages.
Apart from water entering shops and business premises in the area, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kepayang was also affected as water inundated the school premises
To aid in the cleanup efforts, a team of Ipoh Fire and Rescue Department members visited the school to assist.
The assistance provided by the fire department in cleaning up the SK Kepayang school premises eased the burden on the school management.
Using high-pressure water pumps, the firefighters cleaned debris and mud within the school premises, including the drainage channels.
The flash floods also caused damage to some school facilities, such as desks and chairs being submerged in water.
