LUMUT – Driven by a genuine concern for their local community, the youth of Batu 4 Segari recently joined forces to successfully execute a collective cleanup initiative at the mosque.
The program was orchestrated by Syed Alif Rikiman Syed Alwi, a member of the Perak State Youth Council and the Special Officer to the Pangkor State Assemblyman, YB ADUN.
He stated that around 20 local youths actively participated in the program, with its primary mission being to strengthen relationships within the local community.
“Among the tasks carried out was the replacement of the leaking mosque roof in preparation for use during the upcoming month of Ramadan. This effort aims to provide comfort to mosque-goers.
“We also engaged in activities such as grass-cutting around the mosque premises and village entrance, as well as constructing barriers to prevent water overflow onto the roads,” he explained.
Syed Aliff expressed his hope that such programs could be conducted more frequently in every village, perhaps every month, fostering stronger bonds within the community.
