Three houses and two cars were destroyed in Sungai Siput fire

SUNGAI SIPUT: Three houses were razed in a fire incident at Kampung Baru Lintang, here, earlier this morning.

According to the Deputy Director of Operations Division of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the fire also involved two cars which were also destroyed.

“The Sungai Siput Fire and Rescue Station received a call regarding the incident at 1:16 a.m., and our personnel arrived at the scene at 1:44 a.m. The operation was under control by 2:00 a.m.

“The operation also involved assistance from the Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station, and fortunately, there were no casualties involved in the incident.

“Three Class A houses were burnt down, with the first house being 80% destroyed, the second 90%, and the third 5%,” he said on Thursday.

He added that the operation involved 23 personnel comprising 12 from the Sungai Siput Fire and Rescue Station and 11 from the Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station.
