Kuala Lumpur: A vacation voucher to visit Ipoh/Perak for 2 days and 1 night is among the initiatives to encourage more tourists in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024 (VPY2024).
The Chairman of the State Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, YB Loh Sze Yee, stated that the special vacation package offer received a positive response at the MATTA Fair Perak on 9-10 March 2024.
“The public still has the opportunity to obtain these package vouchers through travel agencies collaborating with MATTA Perak Chapter until 15 April 2024.
“These four agencies are Ice Holiday Sdn. Bhd; Airlink Travel & Tour Sdn. Bhd; Malaysian Harmony Tour & Travel Sdn. Bhd; and Apple Vacations Sdn. Bhd.
“Three packages are offered, namely a 2 days 1 night package from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh and back, a 2 days 1 night package from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh, and back, and a 2 days 1 night package from Kuala Lumpur to Taiping, Ipoh, and back,” he said to Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic after the Launching of the Green Circle Sustainability Project and 2D1N Perak Packages in conjunction with Visit Perak Year 2024 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, today.
According to Loh Sze Yee, a total of 1,000 vouchers are available.
“In addition to booking tickets for overseas vacations, the public also needs to pay RM9.90 to receive a voucher worth RM160.00 per person.
“We want the public not only to vacation abroad but also to vacation in Perak, especially in Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar,” he emphasized.
Present at the event was the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa.
