IPOH: Firefighters persuaded a man who was lying on the roof of a house to descend from the roof. This happened today at Persiaran Taman Meru, Meru Raya.
According to the Deputy Director of Operations Division of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) in Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, they were informed about the presence of a man in his forties at the location at 1:40 a.m.
“Members from the Meru Raya Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene and found a man lying on the roof of a single-storey terrace house.
“The operation commander conducted a size-up and assisted the police in persuading the victim to come down.
“The victim was successfully brought down and handed over to the police for further action,” he said in a statement here today.
The operation, led by Senior Assistant Fire Superintendent II Mohammad Norshazwan Mohd Puzi, was completed at 2:18 a.m.
