IPOH: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, graciously attended the Eid al-Fitr celebration event at the Indera Mulia Stadium in the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
Also present was the Queen of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim.
The event was attended by the Chief Minister of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, and his wife.
In his speech, Saarani urged all citizens to be determined and committed to building unity and preserving the values of harmony.
“This joyous evening celebration once again proves that the diversity of culture, ethnicity, and religion, which has been the symbol of Malaysia’s people for so long, has never been a barrier to harmony and peace in our country, including in the blessed state of Perak Darul Ridzuan,” he explained.
Their Majesties also graciously donated Eid al-Fitr monetary gifts to residents of several welfare centres.
These included the Darus Salam Care Center, the Nurul Iman Orphanage and Poor Care Center, the Amanah An-Nur Maisarah Foundation Care Center, and the Soleha Orphanage Care Center in Tanjung Tualang.
Concluding the event, Their Majesties also kindly interacted with the citizens around the grounds of the Indera Mulia Stadium.
