IPOH: Lack of maintenance has caused the signage at the traffic light intersection between Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and Persiaran Sultan Azlan Shah here to be obscured by overgrown trees and bushes.
This renders the messages on the signage unreadable.
Consequently, it renders the purpose of the signage meaningless and causes inconvenience to the public.
This location is among the busy roads in Ipoh city as it also connects to the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport.
A local resident who wishes to be identified as Hor said he had previously raised the issue with maintenance motorcyclists passing through the area.
He said he verbally informed the officers and believed the complaint had been relayed to higher authorities.
“Even without complaints, this area is a busy route, and everyone passing through here can clearly see the situation.
“For me, making a complaint or not is just a formality. If there are higher-ups or officers who see it, they can also respond,” he said.
Meanwhile, a driver, Edly Abu Bakar Omar Zin, said such a situation should not be happening as the road is a focal point.
“The tree branches are covering the road sign. It tarnishes the view of Ipoh city,” he said.
