KAMPAR: Firefighters successfully persuaded and rescued an 11-year-old girl from attempting to jump off the roof of a religious school dormitory in Taman Sentosa here today.
According to the Deputy Director of Operations Division of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, they received a call regarding the incident at 8:30 in the morning.
Following that, members from the Kampar Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the location.
“Upon the arrival of the vehicles at the scene, there was an attempted jump involving a young girl on the roof of the dormitory.
“Subsequently, the operation leader persuaded the victim to come down from the roof and the victim was successfully rescued,” he said today.
