IPOH: The Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Perak is set to celebrate Pesta Kaamatan and the traditional beauty pageant, Unduk Ngadau, this Saturday.
According to a statement from KDCA, the one-day event will take place at the AD Grand Ballroom in Bercham.
Tickets, priced at RM100, include meals and beverages, as well as the chance to win lucky draw prizes.
The event will also feature exhibitions and sales of traditional Sabahan handicrafts.
Additionally, there will be traditional Sabahan food for sale, among other attractions.
Kaamatan, also known as the Harvest Festival or Tadau Kaamatan, is a traditional celebration passed down through generations by the Kadazandusun community in Sabah. It is held in honour of ‘Bambazon,’ the spirit of rice.
This festival is one of the most popular and significant celebrations among the people of Sabah.
