IPOH: The number of flood victims from three districts in Perak shows a declining trend, with 341 individuals from 110 families still housed in 10 temporary relocation centres (PPS) as of noon on Saturday.
According to a spokesperson for the Perak State Disaster Operations Control Center (PKOB), the number of flood victims has decreased in the districts of Hilir Perak Larut Matang and Selama but remains unchanged in Kuala Kangsar.
He said that as of 8 a.m. today, there were 529 flood victims from 163 families.
“In Taiping, there are five PPS open, accommodating 164 victims from 52 families. Hilir Perak has only one PPS with 46 victims from 12 families.
“Meanwhile, Kuala Kangsar has four PPS involving 131 victims from 46 families,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
Previously, the media reported that three districts in the state were affected by floods.
The affected areas include Hilir Perak at Batu 9 Jalan Changkat Jong.
Taiping at Kampung Sungai Baru, Kampung Dato Sagor, Kampung Teluk Kertang, Kampung Temerlok, Kampung Nibong, Kampung Batu Hampar, Kampung Matang Gelugor, Kampung Matang Pasir.
Kuala Kangsar at Kampung Periang, Kampung Temong, Kampung Jias Kota Lama Kiri, and Kampung Talang.
