In conjunction with Visit Perak Year and the 150th Anniversary of Taiping City, the Art Inspiration Night event will be held on June 1st, at the Taiping Pavilion Zoo and Night Safari. This third edition of the event is part of the Concert in the City series of the Northern Malaysia Art Inspiration Tour 2022 and the Perak Art Inspiration Journey 2023, which is aimed at integrating art into urban areas and bringing cultural art closer to Malaysians, especially in the state of Perak.

The chosen location this time is a landmark of the city of Taiping and is indeed a tourist attraction both domestically and internationally. Admission is free to watch stage performances and ‘pop-up stores’ at the Pavilion. As for admission to the Taiping Zoo, it is priced at only RM 16.00 for adults and RM 8.00 for children; with the Night Safari priced at RM 20.00 for adults and RM 10.00 for children.
The stage performances will take place in two sessions from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This event will involve performances by traditional dance groups, the Shuq Dancers, who will open the stage followed by four music bands namely Kazim, Suav, Guha Humana, and Teguh Budiman.
These bands will play their own compositions as well as songs with elements of art and culture, imbued with patriotism to foster the spirit of unity among Malaysians.
‘Pop-Up Store’, as well as local clothing and accessory items, will also be open throughout the event for visitors.
The Ipoh Social Inspirational Education Organization [Inspire Ipoh], with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture and the Municipal Councils, hopes to receive support from all to ensure the program runs smoothly and receives a good response, with hopes of continuing it in the coming years.
