TELUK INTAN: Actions by irresponsible parties have damaged the lights at Teluk Intan Riverfront Park.
The act of vandalism was uploaded by Pasir Bedamar State Assemblyman (ADUN) Woo Kah Leong.
He, who is also the Perak state representative for Domestic Trade, Cooperatives, Consumer Affairs, and New Village Affairs, expressed disappointment over the matter.
“Stop vandalism for the community’s well-being.
“I visited Riverfront Park Teluk Intan this afternoon and found that some lights had been deliberately damaged.
“This is an act that should be strongly condemned as public facilities should be maintained by everyone to ensure that everyone can enjoy them,” he said
He urged the public to report vandalism to local authorities if there is any evidence.
This is so that those who commit vandalism can be punished according to the law.
Riverfront Recreation Park Teluk Intan reopened last January after undergoing upgrading as part of efforts to enhance facilities in conjunction with Visit Perak Year.
It is indeed popular as a place for residents to relax and engage in recreational activities.
There is a children’s playground, a riverside observation tower, several gazebos for resting, light exercise equipment, a replica of a keris, and boat rental services along the Perak River.
