Successful Charity Horse Ride A Success Thanks to Supporters

Junior Chambers International (JCI) Ipoh’s 520.1 Charity Ride was a great success in raising funds to help pay for the expenses for two orphanages, namely the Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Miskin Yi Shan and Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Kasih Sayang Ipoh.

The event, which was held at the Iskandar Polo Club, was also lively and happening. In part, due to the horse-centric activities such as horse riding and showering the horses, but also the side activities such as batik.

Not just the children, but many adults have not been exposed to batik before, and it was this that took the charity event to the next level.

The event would not have been nearly as successful without the help of dedicated sponsors though. YEG, who sponsored RM3000, followed by Kawan Renergy Berhad. who sponsored RM1000, and both RT Petroleum Sdn. Bhd. and SL Software Solution Sdn. Bhd. who sponsored RM500 each. This all contributed to ensure that this would be a successful event.

Not only did their support help make this event a success, but they’ve eased the lives of the children and invested in the future of the community.

HAMI Ecofarms, also provided Japanese Muskmelons which were sustainably grown right here in Ipoh by using seeds and techniques from places like Japan and Holland.

JCI Ipoh members expressed their gratitude in being able to organise this event. As this allowed them to hone their leadership and organisation skills, as well as create meaningful contacts. All while contributing to their local community.
