GERIK: The launch of the One Stop Centre (OSC) Sejahtera Sosial program in the Hulu Perak district is one of the holistic approaches by the state government in its effort to eradicate poverty.
Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, said that through this program all state and federal departments and agencies providing various types of assistance and job matching are brought together under one roof so that the people can meet directly.
“It ranges from financial aid to skill courses and advisory services.
“At the same time, the data collected by each department and agency can be integrated so that there are no more overlapping applications,” he said in a statement through his Facebook page here.
Saarani said that the program is the third series after Manjung and Larut Matang Selama.
“God willing, we will expand further to all districts in Perak.
“This is about giving opportunities, igniting hope, and building a better future for the people of our state.
“May all our efforts to eradicate poverty in this state be eased,” he said.
