Journalists and photographers demonstrate skills in PDRM and Perak Media Shooting Skills Test

IPOH: A total of 80 participants, consisting of media personnel from various agencies and senior PDRM officers, participated in the PDRM and Perak Media Shooting Skills Test 2024 at the Perak Police Headquarters shooting range.

This event aims to strengthen the existing relationship between media personnel and the Perak PDRM community.

Also present were Perak’s Executive Councillor for Communications, Multimedia, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Mohd Azlan Helmi, and Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

Before the test began, participants were briefed on handling pistols and shooting positions at the range.

The weapon used was the CZ P-10C 9mm automatic pistol.

Two shooting events were held: Center Fire and Falling Plate.

In the Center Fire event, ten trophies were awarded to the media participants with the highest scores in both male and female categories.

The highest-scoring male participant was Min Irawan, while the highest-scoring female participant was Nurul Aida Sazali.

In the Falling Plate event, eight teams competed, combining media personnel and senior PDRM officers.

The competition was intense as each team provided strong competition to their opponents.

The third place in this event was won by a team led by the Taiping District Police Chief, while second place went to a team led by the Head of the Utusan Malaysia Bureau, Sayed Hisham Ideris.

The champion of the Falling Plate event was the team led by Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

Prizes were presented to the winners by Mohd Azlan and Mohd Yusri.
