3 new agendas added to strengthen Pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030

MANJUNG: Social Development, Environmental Sustainability and Biodiversity, and Empowerment of Local Authorities are three new agendas added to the Pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030.

Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, said the addition of these three new agendas makes Pelsn Perak Sejahtera 2030 dynamic and subject to improvement over time.

According to him, the plan is now on the right track to fulfill all nine established agendas.

“Over the past two years, the state government has sought to establish political stability through people-oriented policies and good governance practices to attract investor confidence.

“As a result, the state government has been able to plan and implement high-impact projects including Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC); Perak Halal Industrial Park (Perak HIP); Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP); Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP), and Automotive High Technology Valley (AHTV),” he said.

He said this after presenting the Progress Report for the Second Year of the Pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030 at the Merdeka Hall, Manjung Municipal Council here.

Saarani further stated that over the two years of plan implementation, various social welfare initiatives and programs have shown progress.

“As we enter the second year of implementing the Pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030, we are now focusing more on implementation and monitoring progress through two components: the Perak Prosperity Key Performance Indicators and the Perak Welfare Index.

“The state government is also intensifying efforts to further strengthen the Pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030 by empowering the economy and exploring new sources of income, especially in the blue economy and care economy sectors,” he added.
