IPOH: Sweet memories from school days are the most beautiful and unforgettable.
So, when many old stories, including heartwarming ones, can be shared upon reuniting, it’s truly special.
A reunion of former students of SJK(T) Ladang Gedong was held at a homestay in Kampung Tawas here.
SJK(T) Ladang Gedong is located in Bagan Serai.
Those born in 1957 are children of the independence era who started studying at the school from first grade in 1964.
Some of them had not met since 60 years ago or after completing sixth grade.
According to the organizer of this reunion, R. Morthy, the event was held to reunite friends and reminisce about old memories and experiences at the plantation school.
He said, a sense of sadness was also shared because some of their school friends had passed away.
“Although not all friends were able to attend, we are very happy to gather those who could make it.
“Some friends were busy taking care of their grandchildren at home and couldn’t attend this reunion.
“This gathering is very touching for us as we have entered our golden years.” he said.
