IPOH: Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, presented appointment letters to members of the State Government Meeting Council, department representatives, state government agencies, and sports associations who will assist in preparing the Perak contingent for the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) XXI 2024 in Sarawak.
Saarani said that a total of 25 person received the appointment letters.
“They consist of nine members of the Perak State Government Meeting Council, five representatives from state departments and agencies, and 11 members of the State Sports Council (MSN) Management Board.
“They are appointed to help streamline the preparations for the Perak state contingent for SUKMA,” he said in a statement after handing over the appointment letters at the Chief Minister’s Office, Perak Darul Ridzuan Building, recently.
Saarani said that all of them would play a role in assisting the sports management division and the SUKMA Secretariat.
“This is to improve sports operations and manage sports organizations efficiently and effectively.
“The rationale for these appointments is also for monitoring purposes before and during SUKMA XXI 2024 Sarawak,” he said.
He said that the event also aimed to express the Perak State Government’s appreciation and recognition for the contributions and sacrifices of athletes, sports enthusiasts, and sports associations in Perak for their services and leadership towards the advancement of sports in the state in preparation for participating in this edition of SUKMA.
