IPOH – Efforts to discover local talents and expand the arts in Ipoh City have garnered support from the Perak State Government through Tourism Perak.

Nurmalis Musa, the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak, recently attended Ipoh 691 Film Studio’s Casting Call Day, encouraging artists and new talents.

“Ipoh has the potential to become a city of creativity. Initiatives like this offer opportunities to local talents,” said Nurmalis.

“The efforts of this local media production company will not only discover more creative new talents but also serve as a platform to develop local artistic skills,” she added.

“Ipoh 691 Film Studio’s Casting Call Day can further strengthen the arts scene in the state, particularly in acting, hosting, DJing, dancing, and other creative fields,” she noted.

She further stated that the emergence of these new talents would enliven the local entertainment industry, in line with Ipoh’s recognition as a Creative City of Music by UNESCO.

“The thriller film ‘Telepathy,’ set to premiere at the end of this year, is expected to attract viewers and further solidify Ipoh 691 Film Studio’s reputation as a producer of high-quality, engaging content.

“This studio strives to nurture local talents and promote Ipoh’s cultural arts, reflecting its dynamic cultural heritage,” she concluded.
