SIMPANG PULAI: The project to install LED lights was carried out by the contractor of Ipoh City Council (MBI) at Persiaran Lapangan Siber 1 here today.
According to the State Assemblyman of Simpang Pulai, Wong Chai Yi, it is part of the installation of 84 lamp poles with a total of 168 LED lights.
He said the project involved an estimated cost of about RM300,000.
“Road users are advised to be cautious while the work is being carried out along the road. Your cooperation is highly appreciated.
“Previously, MBI had informed about commencing the street lighting project from the Traffic Light of Bandar Seri Botani (Sultan Nazrin Shah Road Intersection), through Persiaran Lapangan Siber 1, to the intersections of Jalan Seri Botani Utama and Seri Palma.
“He further explained that the project is expected to be completed by mid-August.
“In addition, another project will be carried out at Lapangan Perdana 1 to install 12 LED lamp poles.
“The distance between two poles is 35-40 meters to ensure tree branches do not obstruct the light,” he said.
