IPOH: Potholes and uneven surfaces along Jalan Bunga Raya and Jalan Pasir Puteh have persisted for months without any repair work, posing significant risks to road users, particularly motorcyclists, especially during rainy weather.
A reader of Ipoh Echo/Peraktastic highlighted the danger, urging authorities to promptly address and repair the roads to prevent potential fatalities.
“This issue is not new; the roads have been potholed for a long time. When it rains, the water covers these holes, making them invisible to motorcyclists, creating a hazardous situation,” the reader said.
“The problem areas are in front of the traffic light intersection at Jalan Bunga Raya and Jalan Pasir Puteh, extending to the intersections of Jalan Bunga Anggerik and Jalan Bunga Saroja,” they added.
The reader emphasised the need for local authorities and relevant agencies to take this issue seriously and act quickly to ensure road safety.
