KUALA KANGSAR: Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, graciously officiated the opening of Kuala Kangsar Health Clinic here recently.
Also present was Raja Permaisuri, Tuanku Zara Salim; Raja Muda Perak,Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa; Raja Puan Besar, Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah dan Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah.
In attendance were also Menteri Besar Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, and his wife, Datin Seri Aezer Zubin.
Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad during his speech,mentioned that the clinic was built under the 11th Malaysia Plan with a total cost of RM20.75 million.
“This clinic serves the populations of Kota Lama Kiri, Kota Lama Kanan, Sayong, and Senggang with an estimated population of 60,000 people.
“It provides outpatient and emergency services, counseling by a Psychologist Officer, Medical Laboratory, Pharmacy services, as well as X-Ray and Rehabilitation services,” he said.
He added that the clinic also offers maternal and child health services.
“Health screenings include the PeKa B40 health program and the National Health Screening Initiative (NHSI), as well as School Health Teams and Home Care Teams,” he said.
