IPOH: Aqua Labz, the splashing swim school by Bonanza Educare, held its inaugural swimming competition during the education group’s Open Day recently.
Accentuated by Bonanza Educare’s dedication in fostering both academic excellence and extracurricular achievements, the swimming competition attracted 33 children aged four to 11 who participated in five categories.
Cheered on by excited parents and visitors, six-year-old Sayyid Darwisy B Mohd Rozaini won first place in the Kicking/Freestyle with Aid category for Ages 4 to 6 while Hanson Tan Zhi Yang, eight, was winner in the Freestyle event for Ages 7 to 8.
In the Freestyle event for Ages 9 to 11, Liew Ker Chean, 11, emerged as champion whereas 10-year-old Sayyid Ziyad B Mohd Rozaini took home gold medals in the Breaststroke (Ages 8-10) and Backstroke (Ages 6-10) categories.
It was a vibrant morning during the joint swimming and open day event held at the learning hubs of preschool and kindergarten, Kinder Labz, and language centre, Ipoh Learning & Training Institute (ILTI), at No 2& 4, Jalan Woodward here on Saturday, 6 July 2024.
Centred on the theme “Passport to Learning”, visitors eagerly explored the unique learning features and facilities offered by Kinder Labz and ILTI as well as their sister international school, Knewton Global Schools Ipoh.
While getting acquainted with the buzz of learning at Kinder Labz, little ones toured various exploratory stations including an IT-Lab Station Tabs, Science Experiment Station, Art Corner, Zumba Dance Station, and Sand Play & Fun Play.
Meanwhile at ILTI, attendees played captivating language games such as Pictionary, HangMan, and Charades while learning about the institute’s comprehensive English courses, which includes Cambridge English.
At the learning corner of Knewton Global Schools Ipoh were dedicated stations for Science and Mathematics, such as Science Splash: Float or Sink, and Bead Counting Bonanza.
