IPOH: After several years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ipoh Learning & Training Institute (ILTI) returned to an in-person graduation ceremony to celebrate its students’ success in Cambridge English this year.
The momentous ceremony saw 74 students from Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE receive their scrolls and medals at ILTI’s learning hub on Jalan Woodward here last Saturday.
Bonanza Educare’s Director of Schools, Evelyn Chen Lee Na in her speech highlighted the important role played by parents in helping their children master English so that they might excel in school and access broader opportunities.
“I am grateful to my parents for nurturing my passion for reading and improving my English skills.
“English, along with hard work and determination, offered a whole world of possibilities for me.
“I wouldn’t be here today if my parents didn’t make me read many books. It is because of that upbringing that I got to live in many countries, travelled and learnt about other cultures,” she said.
Student representative, Sirdion Pang Vee Han,16, told his fellow graduates that their achievement that day symbolised dedication, hard work, and countless hours of studying.
“This achievement has equipped us with the skills and confidence to face future challenges and seize new opportunities,” he said.
Sirdion managed to pass his CPE examinations with flying colours.
Established in 1986, ILTI offers comprehensive English courses for all ages, levels, and needs taught by highly qualified and experienced teachers.
To date, over 40,000 have earned their Cambridge English Proficiency Certificates with ILTI.
