IPOH: Congratulations to Sekolah Seni Malaysia, Perak (SSMP) for being crowned the Champion of the National Consumer Musical Sketch Competition 2024.
This competition was held in conjunction with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) Central Zone Carnival Tour and the 2024 Consumer Festival.
The champion received a trophy and a cash prize of RM5,000.
SSMP also achieved a double victory as its student, Afif Khairullah, was named Best Male Actor in the competition.
The runner-up was Sekolah Menengah Sains Tun Syed Sheh Shahabudin, Penang, who took home a trophy and a cash prize of RM2,000.
During the Perak state-level competition, SSMP emerged as the champion, representing the state at the national level.
The Consumer Musical Sketch Competition is held as a creative channel to convey consumer advocacy to the participants of this competition.
Students, in particular, will become more familiar with and understand the consumer rights they should be protected by, through this competition.
It also aims to educate them on how to channel complaints, as per their rights as consumers.
